About Neoprene Knee Sleeves
The Benefits of Neoprene for Orthopedic Support.
Neoprene is the ideal material for orthopedic braces because it is latex-free, stretchy, flexible, and provides gentle compression characteristics. The compression helps to reduce swelling and pain due to improper sports activities or arthritis. It can also support the muscles and joints and release the symptoms.
Ideal for Various Supports
Neoprene is well-suited for supports like knee sleeves, elbow wraps, and back braces. These areas often require warmth and compression to aid recovery and pain management.
3 types of knee braces
Neoprene knee sleeves provide gentle compression, which can help reduce swelling and inflammation in the knee joint. This can lead to decreased pain and increased range of motion. In addition, neoprene braces can add some support to our body, which can help prevent injury or further damage.
Compared to the other options, neoprene sleeves are much less intrusive and much more versatile. They can be worn during a variety of physical activities, including walking, running, cycling, weight lifting, and more.
Hinged knee braces have metal or plastic hinges on the sides that help to limit side-to-side movement of the knee. These provide more support than neoprene knee sleeves and are particularly useful in those with knee instability. However, they can’t be worn 24/7 and are heavier than neoprene knee braces.
Knee unloader braces are designed to reduce pressure on a specific knee joint area and are commonly used to treat knee osteoarthritis. They work by Shifting the weight-bearing load away from the affected area of the knee joint, which can better reduce pain throughout the day as well as during physical activity. However, because of their structure, they are heavier and have about a 44% quit-using rate.
So we suggest considering more before choosing a knee brace because one of the most commonly recommended knee braces might not be the best option.
